Launches Request for Qualifications on CaFÉ
The SFCA has posted a call seeking artists to submit qualifications for consideration for several commissioned works of art project sites within the Department of Education.
This call is part of the Art in Public Places — Artists in Residence (APP-AIR) Program, which has is a collaborative program between the Department of Education and the SFCA. The program was established to implement an integrated visual arts in education program, while providing commissioned works of art in public schools.
Location: Various locations throughout the State of Hawai’i
Budget: $100,000 per project
Deadline to submit application: March 23, 2014 (11:59 PM Mountain Time)
The SFCA urges visual artists to register with CaFÉ, a website developed by the Western States Arts Federation (WESTAF) to facilitate calls for artists and artwork. The CaFÉ registration is free, secure, and offers access to visual arts opportunities nationwide.
The title of the call on CaFÉ is: 2014 APP HAWAII: Commissioned Works of Art for the Department of Education.
