Please note that the following two job postings share the same recruitment number. Both positions report to the SFCA’s Executive Director. Applicants will be screened for eligibility for both Arts Program Specialists II and III, and may apply to both of the positions in the same application.

Arts Program Specialist II – Community Arts Coordinator

The Art Program Specialist II (Community Arts Coordinator) position is responsible for providing technical assistance, management, monitoring, and program information to SFCA grants recipients, particularly in rural and underserved areas of the State, and for supporting the development and coordination of the Foundation’s programs and funding initiatives.

Arts Program Specialist III – Arts Education Specialist

The Arts Program Specialist III (Arts Education Specialist) will be responsible for administering the statewide Arts Education Program.

The Arts Education Program is one of SFCA’s statewide programs to support activities that may include Artists in the Schools, Student Art Exhibitions, festivals and celebrations, conferences, symposia, panels, workshops, professional development courses, lecture-demonstrations, exhibitions, concerts, performances, presenting and touring, readings, competitions, awards and recognition, media or print publications, collaborative projects with governmental or organizational partners, grants or other applications processes.

The purpose of the Arts Education Program is to identify, document, promote, implement and assist with arts education and life-long learning in Hawai‘i. The Arts Education Program works closely with the ARTS FIRST Partners to support a wide array of arts education activities and services throughout the state.

For doing business with the state as a contractor, the State of Hawaii eProcurement (HiePro) is a system for issuing solicitations, receiving responses, and issuing notices of award. Solicitations and awards are posted and searchable. State Foundation on Culture and the Arts solicitations have included graphic design services, printing services, custom framing, artwork conservation and restoration.
