- Interactive arts classes on Zoom: Tuesdays from 10:00am-10:30 a.m, kid-focused online classes led by SFCA’s highly trained Artistic Teaching Partners or a teaching artist. - Pau Hana Talks and PechaKucha Honolulu: Pau Hana Talks and Pecha Kucha Honolulu are back! Virtual interviews and performances on Zoom.
- Visual Art Workshops on Instagram and Facebook: Thursdays from 10:00am – 11:00am, HiSAM hosts visual art workshops online, live with local artists.
- Musical performances: alternate Fridays at 6:00pm on Instagram Live – a local musician will take over the HiSAM account for a one-hour performance.
The museum will re-open to the public on Monday, July 13, with a new exhibit. “Mai hoʻohuli i ka lima i luna”, curated by guest curators Drew Broderick, Kaʻili Chun and Kapulani Landgraf, will move throughout the museum over the course of a year. Current hours: Monday – Friday, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Free admission.
The State Foundation on Culture and the Arts operates the Hawaiʻi State Art Museum as a part of the Art in Public Places Program, promoting culture and the arts throughout the state of Hawaiʻi.
