This event has been cancelled due to building renovation work.
 
The No. 1 Capitol District Building, the state government office building which houses the Hawaii State Art Museum and the State Foundation on Culture and the Arts offices, Artizen café, and HiSAM Gallery Shop, will be closed on Saturday, September 9, 2017. The museum will be closed for the day and all scheduled activities have been cancelled. The museum is scheduled to reopen on Tuesday, September 12, 2017.

Come play with the Hawai‘i Craftsman during the Second Saturday event where a wonderful family-friendly activity is always planned.

Second Saturday is a free event. Activities are available from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m., while gallery hours for the museum are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. More details to come.

Downtown streets aren’t crowded on the weekend, so walk, bike, take The Bus or drive to HiSAM on Second Saturday ($3 flat-rate parking across the street at Ali‘i Place, cash only; enter at 1099 Alakea St. Free parking available at City & County underground lot at Beretania and Alapai.)
