A folded book form, a handmade book with a rubber stamped cover (blue, violet, blue and yellow rectangles and triangles). All the pages of the book have a red border around them.

Join us for a Second Saturday exploration of mark-making! We’ll texture papers, using found objects as a base for rubbings, and then learn to make a folded book form. Everyone’s favorite “artwork” will become their book cover ~ perfect for a very personalized journal or sketchbook!

Second Saturday is a free event. Activities are available from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m., while gallery hours for the museum are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Downtown streets aren’t crowded on the weekend, so walk, bike, take The Bus or drive to HiSAM on Second Saturday ($3 flat-rate parking across the street at Ali‘i Place, cash only; enter at 1099 Alakea St. Free parking available at City & County underground lot at Beretania and Alapai.)

Come see—it’s your art!
