Monthly Public Programs
The Hawai‘i State Art Museum is open during the First Friday Downtown Gallery Walk. Join us for an evening of art and performance. Check out the exhibitions currently on view; enjoy the monthly performance featuring a changing roster of talented musicians, dancers, and performance artists; take a leisurely stroll through the Sculpture Garden; dine at the Grand Cafe & Bakery; and shop at Showcase Hawai‘i. Scheduled the first Friday of every month, the museum is open from 6:00-9:00 p.m. with the galleries closing at 8:30 p.m. Check the Arts & Culture Calendar for this month’s featured performers.
HiSAM’s Second Saturday features hands-on art activities presented by professional artists and arts organizations. For some events demonstrations and/or performances in the galleries are also slated. This monthly family-focused public program has something for all ages.
