Help visitors enjoy the Hawai‘i State Art Museum!
We are looking for enthusiastic, outgoing volunteers to assist museum visitors and help offer a greater understanding of the exhibitions currently on view. If you have an interest or background in the arts, we encourage you to volunteer.
Volunteers are needed in the following areas:
Gallery Attendant – Assist visitors in the galleries.
Info Desk Attendant – Greet and orient visitors to the museum.
Docent – Conduct tours of the exhibition.
Education Assistant – Assist with education programs.
Special Events Assistant – Assist staff in event coordination.
General Clerical Help – Assist staff in office chores.

Volunteer work with or supporting the Hawai‘i State Art Museum can also be done through the Friends of the Hawai‘i State Art Museum, a non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization engaged in the promotion of the arts and education as well as development for and promotion of HiSAM.
