Resources for public engagement in the legislative process:
- Hawaiʻi State Legislature
- create a free account to submit testimony, track legislation: capitol.hawaii.gov/account.
- hearings are live-streamed and recordings are available on YouTube: Hawaiʻi State Senate (youtube.com/@HawaiiSenate) and Hawai’i House of Representatives: (youtube.com/@HawaiiHouseOfRepresentatives).
- Public Access Room – free, nonpartisan information, facilities, and services to participate in the legislative process: lrb.hawaii.gov/par.
- Hawaiʻi State Public Library – provides computers with internet access so you can view live and on-demand video of hearings and floor sessions; WiFi access, available inside and outside all public library branches; assistance in connecting to a hearing; and resources to research policies. - Hawaiʻi Arts Alliance (HAA) – nonprofit arts advocacy organization: HawaiiArtsAlliance.org. HAA posts action alerts on their social media and email newsletter.
