Experience Hawaiʻi through award-winning artworks by Hawaiʻi teens. This annual competition and exhibit is a longtime favorite for many visitors!

Exhibit dates

Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday from Saturday February 20 – Saturday March 21, 2026. 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Special events:

  • Friday, February 20. Exhibit will be open during the Island Pulse roots and reggae music night at the museum. Free admission, all ages welcome. 5:00 – 9:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, February 28. Awards ceremony takes place during the Super Saturday art-making event for all ages. Super Saturday 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Gallery will be open at 10:00 a.m. – come early to view the show before the ceremony! Students and teachers – information about the awards ceremony is being emailed by Kamakani Konia. Ceremony is 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Please stay during the presentation as additional awards are given out towards the end. Free admission, all ages welcome.
  • Friday, March 6. First Friday, 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. Live music and open galleries. Free admission, all ages welcome.
  • Friday, March 20. Island Pulse, 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. Live music (island roots and reggae) and open galleries. Free admission, all ages welcome.

Please note that there is no parking at the museum. There are several paid parking lots in the area and some metered parking along Richards Street.
