I want to inspire my students to be unique, come up with creative solutions and think for themselves.
Isa comes from a musical family and has been working as a professional dancer and musician on Maui since 2006. She studied Performing Arts in Sweden and has been teaching dance to adults for over 10 years in her own studio. She started working at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center since 2017 as a Teaching Artist, teaching music and dance to grades Pre K-5. She also taught movement for 4 years at Horizons Academy to kids with special needs.
The Artistic Teaching Partners (ATP) Roster is an adjudicated directory of Hawai‘i professional teaching artists qualified to conduct in-depth residencies in educational settings. Each artist or arts organization has a page in the directory with contact information, a short bio, and an artist statement. The State Foundation on Culture and the Arts draws from this roster for arts education programs including Art Bento at the Hawaiʻi State Art Museum and Artists in the Schools.
