Call for student artists: 2025 Hawaiʻi Regional Scholastic Art Awards competition

Submissions for the 2025 Hawaiʻi Regional Scholastic Art Awards competition are now open! All Hawaiʻi students grades 7-12 (ages 13 and up) are eligible. Gold Key award-winning artworks from the competition will be exhibited at Capitol Modern (Hawaiʻi State Art Museum) in Spring 2025 (dates to be determined).

Submissions are submitted through the Art and Writing Awards online portal and are due by December 15, 2024. Learn more about how to enter on the Hawaiʻi Art Region page: ArtAndWriting.org/regions/HI001A

About the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards

The Scholastic Art and Writing Awards are the nation’s longest-running recognition program for creative teens. Learn more on the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards website: ArtAndWriting.org/awards. State Foundation on Culture and the Arts (SFCA) has been the Hawaiʻi regional affiliate for the national Scholastic Art Awards competition. This is the final year that SFCA will be the regional affiliate. Any interested community arts organization is invited to meet with SFCA staff to discuss becoming the new Hawaiʻi regional affiliate.
