Creative Workforce Grant and Culture Fellowships Postponed

July 21, 2022

On July 6, 2022, Governor David Ige announced the line-item vetoes for House Bill 1600, the Supplemental Appropriations of 2022. The Bill allocated Coronavirus State Fiscal Recovery Relief Funds (CSFRF), funded by the America Rescue Plan Act (APRA), to State entities. Through the Bill, the State Foundation on Culture and the Arts (SFCA) was allocated Coronavirus State Fiscal Recovery Relief Funds (CSFRF) to support the Creative Workforce Grant ($500,000) and the Culture Fellowship Grant ($200,000).

Due to the line-items vetoes, the SFCA is fiscally no longer able to move forward with the Creative Workforce Grant and the Culture Fellowship Grant and will postpone the program.

SFCA intends to re-apply to the Administration, to release the funds once Department of Budget and Finance releases instructions.
