Jonathan “JJ” Johnson has joined the Friends of the Hawaiʻi State Art Museum (HiSAM) Board of Directors, effective July 1, 2022. Mr. Johnson brings many years of experience in the local arts community, and is looking forward to continuing to engage the public with the arts in Hawaiʻi.

Jonathan “JJ” Johnson began working for the SFCA in 1988 as Registrar and served as Executive Director from 2014 to June 30, 2022. Allison Wong has joined the SFCA team as Executive Director, effective August 1, 2022.
Friends of HiSAM is a nonprofit volunteer organization, supporting the museum through fundraising and other activities. HiSAM is a part of the SFCA Art in Public Places Program.
