The SFCA acquires artwork from across the state of Hawaiʻi for the Art in Public Places Collection.

General Information

Most purchases for the Art in Public Places Collection are artworks nominated by Acquisition Award Selection Committees (AASCs) that visit curated and/or juried exhibits in the state of Hawaiʻi. Learn more about how to invite a committee to a visit. Exhibits approved for a committee visit are also listed on that page, and published in the SFCA email newsletter.

Request for Qualifications (RFQ) calls for artists for Art in Public Places Commissioned Works of Art are also posted on CaFÉ, CallForEntry.org, and published in the SFCA email newsletter.

SFCA calls for artists are posted on Call For Entry (CaFÉ), www.CallForEntry.org. Artists will need to be registered on CaFÉ to be able to log in and respond to a call for artists. It’s free to register and set up an account with a work portfolio and resumé.
