State of Hawaiʻi Emergency Management Agency (HEMA)
The Hawai‘i Emergency Management Agency (Hawaiʻi EMA) is supporting wildfire response and recovery efforts in Hawai‘i and Maui counties, including the extensive damage in Lāhainā. Hawaiʻi EMA is maintaining a page of information and updates: August 2023 Maui Wildfires. Please go to Hawaiʻi EMA for information on how to get relief, volunteer, and make donations.
Hawaiʻi Organizations for Arts and Culture
- Hawaiʻi Arts Alliance is a statewide nonprofit that champions the arts – check out their social media accounts for artist support, arts advocacy, and funding opportunities. Hawaiʻi Arts Alliance has recommended:
- CERF+ emergency relief grants for materials-based craft and folk/traditional artists
- CERF+ resources (including financial help and legal aid)
- Rauschenberg Emergency Grants: Rauschenberg Medical Emergency Grants and Rauschenberg Dancer Emergency Grants.
- Maui Public Art Corps is a nonprofit organization coordinating with The National Coalition for Arts Preparedness and Emergency Response (NCAPER) to identify resources and recommend actions.
