This will be the final year of the State Foundation on Culture and the Arts’ stewardship of the Hawai‘i Regional Scholastic Art Awards for the foreseeable future. While we are prepared to offer the same kind of programming as last year’s competition and exhibition for this year, we are actively encouraging any interested community arts organization to meet with our staff to become the new Hawai‘i regional affiliate for the Scholastic Art Awards for the 2025-2026 school year and beyond. Interested parties can contact Kamakani Konia (Art in Public Places Program Project Manager) at [email protected].
If a new affiliate is not found for the 2025-2026 school year, Hawai‘i students will still be able to participate in the national competition, most likely by submitting their work through Scholastics’ Western-Region-At-Large, as Hawai‘i students participating in the writing competition have done.
