The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) has just awarded over a million dollars to 14 Hawaiʻi organizations in support of arts and culture.

11 Hawaiʻi organizations received Art Works grants. Art Works grants support artistically excellent projects that celebrate our creativity and cultural heritage, invite mutual respect for differing beliefs and values, and enrich humanity.

The Hawaiʻi Arts Alliance received an Our Town grant. Our Town is the National Endowment for the Arts’ creative placemaking grants program. This year marks the tenth year of support for Our Town projects that integrate arts, culture, and design activities into efforts that strengthen communities by advancing local economic, physical, and/or social outcomes.
