Programs for Artists & Presenters
Supporting, fostering and celebrating the artistic expressions of Hawaiʻis diverse cultures and communities.
The Hawaiʻi Poet Laureate will serve a three-year term, with duties including participation in events, a community-engaged poetry publication, facilitation of community-engaged poetry workshops, and readings featuring other local poets.
Nominations will be open September 15 – November 30, 2025. Self-nominations will be accepted.
Culture Fellowships
This program has been postponed indefinitely.
The Culture Fellowship is for active individual artists and practitioners living in Hawaiʻi, and is a project-based community impact arts and culture fellowship.
Applications are not being accepted at this time.

American Rescue Plan Grants for Individuals
The State Foundation on the Culture and the Arts is utilizing American Rescue Plan (ARP) funding to administer grants benefiting the state’s arts community. The application for Hawaiʻi artists and cultural practitioners closed September 30, 2021.
