Annie Dorsen is partnering with SMU DataArts to conduct a study of the material impacts of generative AI on artists working in theater, dance, and live music. The survey explores how AI is affecting artists’ income, employment opportunities, creative processes, administrative work, and future planning. Findings will help inform policy, advocacy, funding, and support efforts across the field.

This work is part of Artists Make Technology, a collaborative initiative anchored by Mozilla Foundation and the Doris Duke Foundation, in partnership with the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, with additional support from Ford Foundation.

If you work in the performing arts please take the survey here: https://survey.alchemer.com/s3/8855295/3102026
